Heavy Metals and YOU
Posted by: | CommentsHeavy metal toxicity, an excessive build-up of metals in the body, is virtually unavoidable. With no known function in the body, heavy metals can be a major cause of illness, aging and even genetic defects. Because of their industrial use, the unrestricted burning of coal, natural gas and petroleum, and incineration of waste materials worldwide, mankind is exposed to the highest levels of these metals in recorded history. These harmful heavy metals include: antimony, arsenic, bismuth, cadmium, cerium, chromium, cobalt, copper, gallium, gold, iron, lead, manganese, mercury, nickel, platinum, silver, tellurium, thallium, tin, uranium, vanadium, and zinc. Certain heavy metals are nutritionally essential for a healthy life, however, not in excessive amounts.

Heavy metals are toxic when they are not properly metabolized, and then accumulate in our body’s soft tissues. Many of these metals enter the body through food, water, air, or absorption through the skin. Some sources of heavy metals include chemical products, fertilizers, industrial paint, building materials, fish that is high in mercury, silver dental fillings, and mercury preservatives in vaccines, nasal sprays, and many more.
Dangerous heavy metals are competing with the vital minerals in our bodies, which can gravely affect important enzymes and other tissue structures. When the body is low in essential minerals it will absorb and make use of more toxic metals. Arteries, joints, bones, and muscles are weakened by this replacement process. For example, lead that replaces calcium in the bones can contribute to weakened bones and osteoporosis. Additionally, heavy metals promote development of fungal, bacterial, and viral infections.

Heavy metal toxicity can also lead to significant developmental and neurological damage, including autistic symptoms, depression, increased irritability, anxiety, insomnia, hallucinations, memory loss, aggression, lower energy levels, damage to blood composition and vital organs, increased allergies, and many other disorders. Most symptoms entail cramping, nausea, and vomiting; pain; sweating; headaches; difficulty breathing; impaired cognitive, motor, and language skills; mania; and convulsions.

Constipation Crisis
Posted by: | CommentsPainfully constipated? Spending a fortune on doctors and laxatives? Are you considering surgery?
Massage combined with colonics can help SAVE YOU hundreds, even thousands, of dollars!
Constipation can be a costly problem for your mind and body. Abdominal massage is extremely effective in increasing blood circulation and stimulating the organs to help things move along. If you are suffering from constipation you should try regularly receiving abdominal massage before your colonic from one of Atlanta Colonic’s Massage Therapists. As little as fifteen minutes of massage has been proven to be beneficial through scientific research done at the National Institute of Health. Remember, it is extremely important that you drink about half your body weight in ounces of water every day to help facilitate the hydration of the colon.
Environmental Toxins

Excerpt from Soak Your Nuts: Cleansing with Karyn by Karyn Calabrese
Of course, we all know that our planet has become increasingly polluted. Our systematic destruction of the rainforest and earth’s other natural defenses has certainly been well documented. In this increasingly toxic world, we are exposed to damaging chemicals day and night, and often we don’t even know it.
For example, we jog on city streets, never considering that the air we’re pulling into our lungs might counteract the benefits of exercise and even threaten our heart health. Then we quench our thirst with chemically treated water without giving a second thought to what it might be doing to our cells, our organs, or our bodies’ miraculous physical systems.More chemicals are making their way into the environment and into our bodies than ever before. According to the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences, about 300 billion pounds of synthetic chemicals were produced, used, and disposed of in the United States in the early 1990s alone. Seventy years ago, that figure was closer to ten million pounds. All told, roughly eighty-four thousand chemicals are registered for commercial use in the United States.

So where are these chemicals right now? They are being pumped into our neighbor’s lawns, where they pollute the aquifer as runoff. They are in the clothes we bring home from the dry cleaners. They are incorporated into our shampoos, face creams, and other personal care items. They are in our household cleaners. They are even in our prescription drugs. And most worrisome, they are being absorbed through our skin and making their way through our digestive tracts.
Take a look around you right now. Think about your own surroundings and situation. Are you exposed to environmental pollutants like smog or secondhand smoke? Do you ingest alcohol, artificial sweeteners, caffeine, or food coloring? Are you aware that the foods you eat probably contain genetically modified organisms or growth hormones? Could these dangerous substances be setting you up for degenerative illness, obesity, premature aging, or worse? Are they the reason you’re feeling so worn, so tired, so bloated, or just so lousy?
I know that thinking about toxins that assault us in the course of normal, modern life is sobering and even frightening, but fear is not what I want to instill. Rather, I want you to become aware and recognize that there is a solution to the problem. This solution is inherent in the natural instincts we are born with, even though we may have long forgotten.
